Rowan Evans

Senior Physiotherapist

Rowan graduated from the University of Sydney in 2017. Rowan has held numerous coveted positions since becoming a Physiotherapist including Head Physiotherapist of the Sydney Uni Flames in the national basketball competition WNBL, Waratahs academy Physiotherapist and is the current Head Physiotherapist of Gordon Rugby Club in the NSW Shute Shield. Within the private practice setting, Rowan is highly experienced in post-surgical rehabilitation as well as long term, complex injuries within general population.

A previous competitive rugby player, Rowan is now a keen long-distance runner and brings his experience as an athlete to enhance his clinical practice. Rowan employs several strategies including education, exercise prescription and hands on modalities to help you recover and reach your goals.

Rowan is currently furthering his studies in the Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in Melbourne.

Rowan has a special interest in complex rehabilitation, sports injuries, neck and back pain, pre and post-surgical management, running conditions and cycling related injuries.

Emily Leys

Senior Physiotherapist

Emily graduated from the University of Sydney in 2015 and brings a background in private practice, sports medicine and elite sports - both on and off the field - to empower her patients to return to doing what they love sooner. Emily started working in private practice in 2016. Since then she has combined this private practice work with both her career as a professional cricketer with the Sydney Sixers WBBL team and Physiotherapy with the Sydney Swans and Rugby Australia.

Emily is currently the Head Physiotherapist for the Sydney Swans AFLW and academy programs and Head Physiotherapist for the Australian Junior Wallabies. She was previously the NSW Waratahs Super Rugby team and academy Physiotherapist (2018-2022).

As a result she has either experienced herself or treated a wide range of injuries at both a professional level as well as the everyday athlete. Emily will work with you to not only solve your current injury problem through a thorough rehab program, but also give you the tools to prevent the injury from occurring again, allowing you to achieve your activity goals.

Emily has an interest in treating sports injuries, soft tissue injuries and rehabilitating post-surgical conditions. She has years of experience in Pilates and women’s health physiotherapy.

Shane Kertanegara Principal Physiotherapist

Shane Kertanegara graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 with 1st class honours and the MSK University Medal. He is the current Program Manager at the Royal Australian Air Force’s high performance program at RAAF base Richmond and co-founder & Chief Clinical Officer of the UK based sports and exercise medicine technology platform Optimi Health.

A published international research author and previous lecturer at the University of Sydney, Shane’s previous roles include Head of Medical Performance at NSW Waratahs Rugby, Head Physiotherapist Australian U20s Junior Wallabies and Sydney University Rugby Club.

Shane has an interest in treating lower limb injuries, hip and groin pain, tendinopathies and the shoulder joint. He will aim to establish an accurate diagnosis, clear management plan and use effective treatment options to guide you through your condition.
